Magnetic barrier gates employ the latest technology.

The Magnetic patented torque motor is complete maintenance-free, it requires no built in limit switches or friction clutch and can be stalled in any position with out causing damage to the motor or gearing. However, in case of emergency the barrier arm can still be opened against the direction of the motor.

The torque motor, even while stationary, still remains energized, and is therefore always slightly warm. This eliminates freezing and condensation, while preventing corrosion and enhancing reliability.

Magnetic traffic barriers incorporate a special drive system (sinusoidal drive) to achieve fast operating times while reducing the speed when approaching the end positions.

This eliminates any overshoot of the barrier arm and locks it in the closed position.

However, in the event of power failure the barrier arm can easily be opened manually with out the use of a crank handle and without disengaging the clutch.
